Inspired by poet Emily Dickinson, this virtual show focuses on birds and the symbolism of birds - resilience, rebirth, joy, hope, love and peace. The exhibit features photographer BECKY HOLMES-FARLEY as well over 60 other artists who capture the beauty of our feathered friends.

These three images were created in a time of looking inward at resources I never knew I possessed. What might have been a time of darkness and isolation turned out to be the discovery of what truly makes me happy. Viewing the ever changing activity of birds out my window has given me hope in the strength of nature to lift us up.

Anne Beinecke’s billowing pulses of color and asemic marks arise from an automatic method that initiates many of her paintings. From these seemingly unrelated elements she pulls together light and shadow, image and impression, form and substance to inhabit an unrestricted world that often straddles the abstract and representational. Anne is inspired by the natural world, symbols and dreams, and her work often aims to radiate an atmosphere that evokes a sense of awe, empathy and hope for our shared planet and all her inhabitants.
Ⓥ Anne uses vegan-friendly materials for her art.

We often refer to the birds we encounter just by their color. We do know that birds are much more than the beautiful colorful specks in our lives, but we rarely have time to give our neighbors enough attention. These pieces are from the series depicting backyard and other birds as parts of their environment, and as the individual characters.
