Faces are more than just the person who wears them. Some symbolize hope and history, others stand for the thousands of unseen forsaken souls living with injustice. In recognizing these individuals, we can take note of, or “recognize” the call for understanding and change.

Faces of Frida
Necklace
26" lariat necklace composed on a wire frame, with two each of four different, decoupage photos of artist, Frida Kaho. The photos are separated by colorful wooden beads. The closure can be adjusted so that the necklace can be worn at any length. The lariat ends with a larger wooden bead and a brass chain tassel. This is really a unique fun piece for a daring wearer.

We cannot look away from these depictions of faces because their power is not confined to the individuals. When we look at others, it is an opportunity to see ourselves. This connection is crucial to human life.
Artist Anne Wickham Smith says, “In these times It’s important…that we accept and appreciate our differences, and stand together."
